Stuart Zweibel, M.D., PhD.
Dr. Zweibel is a board certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon specializing in skin cancer, laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Zweibel graduated from Cornell University and did his graduate work at Temple University School of Medicine and Harvard School of Public Health earning a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology. He graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed his residency at Brown University. He then did a fellowship in Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery under Dr. Mohs in the department of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital.
Dr. Zweibel has taught at NYU School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor and served as Chief of the Division of Dermatology at Northern Westchester Hospital from 1999 to 2007.
Dr. Zweibel has been cited on several occasions in the Best Doctors issues of New York Magazine and Westchester Magazine.
Athena Kaporis, M.D.
Athena G. Kaporis, M.D. graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She then received her medical degree and pursued a medical internship at New York University School of Medicine.
She completed her Dermatology Residency at the State University of New York Health and Science Center in Brooklyn. She has conducted research in immunology and has published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals regarding dermatologic pathology.
Dr. Kaporis has appeared on MSNBC television discussing skin cancer and skin care. She has been in private practice for many years specializing in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, including laser surgery and tumescent liposuction.
She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery and the Women's Dermatology Society.
Meredith Kosann, M.D.
Meredith Klein Kosann, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical dermatology, laser surgery, cosmetic dermatology, and tumescent liposuction. Dr. Kosann graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She earned her medical degree from New York University Medical School where she was selected to join Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical honors society. Upon graduation, she was awarded with the Maurice Freiman Memorial Award, the Medical Women's Association Citation, and the Hippolyte M. Wertheim Award for excellence in academic achievement.
Dr. Kosann completed her dermatology residency at NYU, where she served as chief resident. Upon graduation from residency, Dr. Kosann was awarded with the Morris Leider award for excellence in dermatology. In addition to extensive research in the areas of cutaneous oncology and allergic contact dermatitis, Dr. Kosann has published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals about a variety of dermatologic diseases and treatments. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Kosann lives in Westchester with her husband and four boys.
Ross Zeltser, M.D.
Dr. Zeltser is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. He is a graduate of Columbia University with a degree in biochemistry. He received his medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor medical society. This was followed by an internal medicine internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, where he was elected Outstanding Intern of the Year. He received his dermatology residency training at Boston University and Tufts – New England Medical Centers where he was named Chief Resident. Following residency Dr. Zeltser completed a Dermatologic and Mohs Surgery Fellowship at Tufts – New England Medical Center and served as a staff physician at Harvard Vanguard Dermatology Associates in Boston.
Dr. Zeltser is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He is currently a Clinical Instructor at Columbia University's Department of Dermatology.
